Health And Safety throughout the UK

At Simply the Best Events we know that an event is only successful if, behind the scenes, the ever increasing Health and Safety boxes are ticked off.

So, with that in mind, what do we do to help you get those boxes dealt with, so that you can sit back, relax and enjoy the event ?.............

EQUIPMENT

We ensure that we:

buy inflatables that are manufactured to the BSEN14960 standard

buy our other equipment from reputable suppliers, manufactured to the relevant standards

Then:

we have inflatables, that fall under the scheme, tested annually by a PIPA inspector ( castles, slides and obstacle courses)

or if an inflatable unit is mounted, but does not fall under that scheme, we use an RPII inspector to test it (eg gladiator duels etc)

all other units undergo our rigorous annual tests i.e. if the inflatable unit is not mounted or not an inflatable.

Rodeo units undergo ADIPS tests annually.

Then:

at every event, each piece of equipment has another documented check, to ensure that it has been erected correctly, and that it is safe to use.

we carry out regular anchor point checks, to ensure the units remain stable

air pressure checks, to ensure the units are still performing as they should

and wind checks throughout the event to ensure the inflatable units are not in danger of being compromised

WEATHER

There has been much documented in the press in relation to inflatables and in particular wind. In order to manage our inflatables we have a wind plan, we get site information pre-event so we can assess if a venue is exposed to the elements, we monitor expected wind levels pre event and then during the event we take regular wind readings using anemometers.

We will not put any guests or our staff at risk by operating in unsafe conditions.

The maximum wind speed an inflatable can still operate in is 24 mph. Some units have a lower resistance and all maximums are adhered to.

All our inflatables are anchored down using either industry standard stakes, sandbags/ ballast (weight is dependent if inside or out) or an anchor bolting system.

Again with rain, if the levels pose a H&S risk, the equipment will be closed until it is safe to resume.

STAFF

All our key staff are RPII Operator and Attendant of Children's Inflatable Play Equipment trained as defined in BSEN14960:2103.

RAMS

We supply comprehensive Risk Assessments and Method Statements. The main assessment covers 'risks' from our arrival on site to our departure, and then every piece then has an individual assessment to cover use.

INSURANCE

We carry a £10million Public Liability Insurance
